Downtown Paris’ newest restaurant, redbear has officially opened its doors.

Owner and chef Kenneth Thornhill jumped at the chance to snap up 208 S. Main Street in downtown Paris and expand his popular food truck business to a brick-and-mortar home.

‘There is new energy right here especially when it comes to food,” said Thornhill.

This isn’t the first time Thornhill has worked in this particular building, having been a sous-chef when it was Bois D Arc.

“I got fired,” laughed Thornhill. ” But that’s when I started the food truck serving woodfired pizza and cheese.”

Since then, Thornhill has gone on to make multiple TV appearances on The Food Network and make his mark in Paris as one of the best food truck.

Now, the two-time Paris Winefest winner is showcasing his skills at what he calls “one of the best locations in downtown Paris.”

“This location has the best back yard in downtown Paris,” he said. “We will expand into the outdoor area shortly and will also have local artists come and perform.”

The restaurant will be open Tuesday through Thursday 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m.

There will be a separate lunch and dinner menu offering an array of gourmet meals from small plates, cheese platters, burgers, salads, mains and more.

The restaurant will also serve craft beer and wine in the near future.
