Last month, Paris city officials received notice that Texas Parks and Wildlife did not award a matching grant for the Pump Track Paris, Texas project.

However, it was announced earlier this morning that the project is back on track.

“We have some great news to share about our pump track. Shortly after our last press release notifying everyone of the denial of our grant, we received a message from Texas Parks and Wildlife, informing us of the possibility of additional funding for projects and may be able to fund our project,” said the organization in a press release.

Today, they received the official word that Pump Track Paris, Texas is going to be funded this year.

“You read that right, our project will be funded through Texas Parks and Wildlife Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant.”

The city will begin to work on the various requirements from Texas Parks and Wildlife in order to comply with the grant which is expected to be a short process.

“Hopefully we will have it completed this year. We want to especially thank our donors, this project could never happen without them. This is a huge win for Paris and will provide entertainment and fitness opportunities to everyone.”
