Modern Woodmen of America Delta County Chapter recently donated teddy bears, coloring books and crayons to the Delta County Sheriff’s Office who may go through traumatic experiences in the community.
In addition to the teddy bears, the sheriff’s office also received bags containing several personal hygiene items.
“Sometimes, deputies come in to contact with persons involved in domestic violence and other crimes that are left displaced for a short period of time. These bags will facilitate a better transition for the victims,” said Sheriff Marshall Lunch.
Scotty Stegall, the Modern Woodmen of America chapter’s leader, reached out to the Delta County Sheriff’s Office and made arrangements to make the donation.
“The sheriff’s office would like to recognize the following people for their kind donations to this worthy cause.”
Laura Jordan and Kuldip Singh of Nu Way 24/7 and Diane Emig donated the hygiene bags and items.
Scotty and Diane Stegall donated the teddy bears.
Brenda Stewart, Ashley Pittman and Rhalie Green from Brenda Stewart Realty Company donated the coloring books and crayons.
“We really appreciate their commitment to making our community a better place for its citizens.”
