Debra Kay “Debbie” Daus, 68, of Paris, passed away Friday, March 14, 2025, at Brentwood Terrace Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center while surrounded by her family. Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled memorial services for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 5th at Calvary United Methodist Church with Rev. Kevin Strempke officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Debbie, the daughter of Hoyt Langley and Charlene Kirkpatrick Langley, was born Aug. 13, 1956, in Borger, TX.
She graduated from Paris High School and began her career working as a ward clerk on 3-west at L. P. McCuistion Regional Medical Center. She then worked several years for Dr. Ken Brooks and several years at Quick Shots. Her retirement came following a number of years at Thomas Justiss Elementary School and the Success Center.
Debbie was a faithful member of Calvary United Methodist Church and attended the Koinonia Sunday School Class. Her father and a nephew, Jerrod Nelson, preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Kennon Wayne “Kenny” Daus, whom she married on May 4, 1985, building 39 years of family and memories. Her mother, Charlene Langley, two children, Redgie Daus and Bethany Sloan and husband Ryan, three grandchildren who affectionately knew her has “Mimi”, Dauson Sloan, Rudy Sloan, and Cheyenne Daus and one sister, Lisa Nelson and husband Jerry along with several nieces and nephews and a plethora of friends.
