Thursday afternoon a lane on Loop 286 SE in the 400 block was shut down after a motorcycle rider was involved in a single vehicle accident.
Paris police, Fire Department and EMS attended the scene as the 80-year old rider reportedly hit a pothole on the surface of the road which is said to be the cause of the accident.
According to police reports, the male rider is from Houston, and due to sustaining several severe injuries he was airlifted to Medical City in Plano for further medical attention.
Reports this morning stated he was listed in a stable condition at time of press.
