The United Way of Lamar County (UWLC) announced their Annual Summer Fan Drive has begun. Donated box fans may be dropped off at the United Way office located at 2340 Lamar Avenue (next door to Pickle Printing). The office is open M-F from 8am-4pm.
UWLC Executive Director Jenny Wilson stated, “We appreciate every summer all of the box fans we get donated for those in need. We have so many in our community that don’t have central AC and these fans are crucial to their health, safety and comfort.”
Those needing fans can call the UWLC office at 903-784-6642. Any companies or businesses that wish to be a drop off location for fans can call the office or email jenny.wilson@lamarcountyuw.org.
