Congress is not mandated to get vaccinated, neither are its staff members or federal courts.
Even though Biden mandated all federal employees to be vaccinated, members of Congress and its staff would not require vaccines, according to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Businesses with more than 100 employees, however, are still required to vaccinate their employees or test weekly for COVID, according to the executive order issued Thursday.
Biden’s executive order only applies to the executive branch of government; the House of Representatives and the Senate are a part of the legislative branch and the courts are a part of the judicial branch.
