City of Paris Residential Cleanup set for May 18 -25

The City of Paris Residential Cleanup Week has been set for May 18th through the 25th and residents will be able to get rid of bigger trash items.

Acceptable items include refrigerators without compressors, air conditioning units, as well as old tires, and batteries.

Items that will not be accepted include paint, oil, and chemicals.

There will be two drop off locations, both with large bins that will be set up and monitored from 8 a.m.-5 p.m at:

· Red River Valley Fairgrounds enter from Gene Watson Blvd. between Hickory and Clement.

· 1100 block of Bonham Street at The Depot

Drop-off is free; however, residents are will be required to show proof of residency by way of their current water bill.

The compost site on Field Road will be open:

Wednesday, May 22, 2019, from 9 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.;

Thursday and Friday, May 23 – May 24, 2019, from 8:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.; and

Saturday and Sunday, May 25 – May 26, 2019, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
