The City of Paris offices will be closed for the Christmas holidays on Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 24 and 25. Emergency Services, 911, and other essential services will not be affected. The Bulk Brush and Recycling Center at 705 Field Street will also be closed on Saturday, Dec. 28.
CARDS will collect trash as usual on Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 23 and 24. CARDS will not pick up trash on Christmas Day, Wednesday, Dec. 25. CARDS will collect the Wednesday, Dec. 25 trash route on Thursday, Dec. 26, the Thursday route on Friday, and the Friday route on Saturday, Dec. 28.
A drop-off point for extra holiday trash is available from Dec. 25 through Jan. 1 for City of Paris residential trash customers. The dumpster, provided by CARDS and the City of Paris, is located near the City of Paris Public Works office at 50 West Hickory Street.
The City of Paris Sanitation division is offering free live Christmas tree recycling. After removing all decorations, live trees can be dropped off at the Bulk Brush and Recycling Center, 705 Field Road. Free pick-up of live trees, with all decorations removed, can be scheduled by calling 903-784-9266.
