Independence Day is right around the corner and the City of Detroit will be celebrating with their own ‘4th of July Parade’ on Saturday, June 27.
Beginning at the Detroit Fire Department, they will host their annual fireman’s breakfast at the station, where you can get your pancakes from 7 a.m.
After that, there will be a line up at the elementary school around 9:30 a.m. ready for the parade to start at 10 a.m.
“This is being put on by community members, and they encourage everyone to join either by being part of the parade or being in attendance for it,” said Detroit Mayor Kenny Snodgrass. “Show your pride and join us!”
At this stage, Snodgrass also said that there are talks of a fireworks show the following weekend, but no details have been confirmed.
