Chisum Middle School Junior Beta students recently competed in 19 events at the Jr Beta National Convention in Louisville, Kentucky, placing in the top 10 in five events with Mason LaRue being crowned National Champion in Digital Art.
“This is our third year as a club, our third national convention, and our third year of placing in the top ten, but our FIRST year placing in the TOP FIVE, much less bringing home a National Champion Trophy,” said the BETA club on online.
In addition to LaRue taking home the win, Sonny Weiler placed second in Fiber Art, Gracyn Whitaker placed third in Onsite Drawing and seventh in Drawing, and Ava Brown placed seventh in Hand Drawn Anime.
