Chisum ISD Seniors Hayden Braziel and Ryann Swafford took home second place in TxDOT’s Project Celebration contest.
In their PSA, Braziel says Texas has lost at least one everyday on Texas roads since Nov. 7, 200.
“That seems so unreal,” he said in the PSA.
Swafford expressed the importance of Texans coming together to help end the streak of driving fatalities.
“There’s even a social media campaign called ‘#EndTheStreak,’ where people can look at different ways to have safer driving habits,” Swafford said.
TxDOT’s Project Celebration contest helps educate the public on the dangers of distracted driving with its #endthestreak campaign.
