The AMBER ALERT for missing Lina Sardar Khil has been canceled, even though the 3-year-old remains missing.
Some investigators presume the San Antonio child did not wander off, but was likely abducted, and investigators say the investigation continues.
“While the Amber Alert for Lina has been suspended, it’s critical to communicate that Lina is still a missing person, and, once again, we continue to follow up on leads and actively search for Lina,” a San Antonio Police Department spokesperson said.
Khil was last seen on Dec. 20 at about 4:30 p.m. at a park near the 9400 block of Fredericksburg Road in San Antonio.
The San Antonio Police Department stresses the missing case remains open and “our investigation and search for Lina has not stopped.”
“We will continue to diligently comb through leads in hopes of locating Lina and reuniting her with her family,” the San Antonio PD stated. “While the Amber Alert for Lina has been suspended, it’s critical to communicate that Lina is still a missing person and once again, we continue to follow-up on leads and actively search for Lina.”
Anyone with information on Khil’s case is urged to contact San Antonio Crime Stoppers at 210-224-7867 or San Antonio PD’s Missing Persons Unit at 210-207-7660.
