Alden Price George Jr. 80, of Paris passed away Thursday, July 4, 2019, at his home. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday July 7, 2019 at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Moore officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
Alden was born April 8, 1939 in Stanton, Texas a son of Alden Price George Sr. and Floy Imogene Glaspie. He married Sarah F. Phillips in Hugo, OK on March 15, 1975. He graduated from Faben’s High School and Texas Western College. He was a teacher/coach at North Lamar High School for 44 years. He was a member of His Place Fellowship Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Alden P. and Imogene George and a sister Ann McDonald.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years Sarah F. George; children Scotty Byers and wife Alexis of Plano, Stacy McKnight of Paris, Heather Moore and husband Doug of Paris; grandchildren Colby McKnight and wife Chelsie, Holli Bratcher and husband Colby, Skye and Breck Byers, Bobby and ShyAnn Moore of Paris; great grandchildren Ashton McKnight, Karlee Vaughn, Waylon Bratcher, Jaycee McKnight, a sister Bobbie Yates of Kettering, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.
