On June 15, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 3300 block of North Main Street after observing a vehicle fail to maintain a single lane of traffic. Upon contact with the driver, officers requested that she exit the vehicle. As she did so, a small baggie containing suspected methamphetamine fell from her shorts. The driver was taken into custody, and a subsequent search revealed additional pills that were not prescribed to her. She was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1/1-B <4G, a State Jail Felony, and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 3 <28G, a Class A Misdemeanor.
On June 14, Officers responded to a disturbance call in the 500 block of Deshong Drive. Upon arrival, officers learned that the female suspect had fled the scene in a vehicle. The vehicle was later located, and a traffic stop was conducted in the 200 block of Stone Avenue. During the investigation, officers determined that the suspect had forcibly entered the victim’s residence and assaulted him by deploying pepper spray when he arrived home. The suspect was subsequently arrested and charged with Burglary of a Habitation, a Second-Degree Felony.
During this reporting period, officers conducted 81 traffic stops, made 12 adult arrests, and responded to 178 calls for service.
