North Lamar ISD celebrated another outstanding year of Panther athletics during the annual North Lamar Athletic Banquet on May 18, 2026. The evening featured a meal provided by Burgerland and was made possible through the support and assistance of the North Lamar Athletic Booster Club. Student-athletes, coaches, families, and supporters gathered to recognize the hard work, dedication, and accomplishments of Panther athletes throughout the 2025-2026 school year.
The evening began with the recognition of scholarship recipients. Students receiving athletic scholarships included Tyler Antonio-Silva, Montgomery Clark, Addison Cooper, Hazel Estes, Colston Fendley, Colt Fendley, Brooke Forbus, Kelsey Jackson, Abbi Moree, Jose Patino, Kazyr’ana Sanders, Landry Spencer, Lilly Stewart, Molly Stone, Cailee Walston, Avery Weddle, Carter Whitten, and Kanyon Williams.
Football award recipients included Tyler Antonio-Silva as Most Valuable Player, Keylan Gray as Offensive MVP, Rashad Washington as Defensive MVP, Dallas Foster as Special Teams MVP, and Donald Williams as the recipient of the Fighting Heart Award.
Volleyball honors went to Alexa Lane as MVP, Layc Webster as Offensive Player of the Year, Lilly Stewart as Defensive Player of the Year, Landry Spencer as Setter of the Year, and Averi Curtis as Newcomer of the Year.
In Cross Country, Nolan Spencer was named the Boys Most Valuable Runner, while Bella Goodwin and Ella Nelson shared Girls Most Valuable Runner honors. Gavin Pike was recognized as Swim Most Valuable Swimmer.
Girls Basketball award winners included Alexa Lane as MVP, Criss Malone as Offensive Player of the Year, Kyra Cary as Defensive Player of the Year, Avery Curtis as the Toughness Award recipient, and Gabe Haley as the T.O.E. Award recipient. Boys Basketball honors were awarded to Ayden McCullar as MVP, Jaxon Chalupa as Offensive Player of the Year, Keylan Gray as Defensive Player of the Year, Jake Dagenhart as the Fighting Panther Award recipient, and Mason Ewing and Jared Franklin as Co-Newcomers of the Year.
Baseball awards included Kanyon Williams as Most Valuable Player, Adrian Nichols as Offensive Player of the Year, Montgomery Clark as Defensive Player of the Year, and Pierce Keenum as Pitcher of the Year. Softball honors went to Addison Cooper as Most Valuable Player, Averi Curtis and Layc Webster as Co-Offensive MVPs, Mayzie Musgrove and Kiki Sanders as Co-Defensive MVPs, Seely Blease as Newcomer of the Year, Addyson Michael as Pitcher of the Year, and Abbi Weikel as the recipient of the Team 36 Award.
In Boys Track and Field, Keshaun Porter received the Outstanding Field Event Award, Jesse Jones earned the Outstanding Sprinter Award, Andrew Perry was named Newcomer of the Year, Aiden Adamson received the Outstanding Relay Runner Award, and Dallas Foster earned the Four-Year Finish Line Award. Girls Track and Field award recipients included Madison Reed and Criss Malone as Co-Outstanding Jumpers, Abbi Moree as Outstanding Field Event Athlete, Aaliyah Conkleton as Outstanding Runner, Ella Nelson as Newcomer of the Year, and Kelsey Jackson as MVP.
Athletic Training honors were awarded to Ricardo Mejia, Abbi Moree, and Abbi Weikel as Most Valuable Trainers.
Cheerleading awards included Gabe Haley as Stunt Beast, Rainin Wilkins as Most Determined and Most Valuable Cheerleader, Molly Stone as Most Spirited, Maddie Reed as Top Teammate and Co-Newcomer of the Year, Ari Johnson and Brooke Ward as CheerLEADER Award recipients, Kinsey Reynolds as Most Improved, and Maddie Reed as Newcomer of the Year.
Boys Golf award recipients included Parker Clark as Most Valuable Player, Colby Peterson and Montgomery Clark as Co-Most Improved Players, and Gantz Allen as Newcomer of the Year. Girls Golf honors went to Harper Mitchell as Most Valuable Player, Vivian Foreman as Most Improved Player, and Camilla Chappell as Newcomer of the Year.
In Powerlifting, Aidan Bridgers was named Boys Most Improved Lifter, Korbyn Liggins earned Top Lifter honors, and Gabe Wells received the Iron Panther Award. Girls Powerlifting awards were presented to Kolbi Sims as Most Improved Lifter, Layc Webster as Top Lifter, and Kadilee Steed and Zerinity Santiago as Co-Iron Panther Award recipients.
Boys Soccer honors included Tyler Silva and Colt Fendley as Co-MVPs, Cade Wolfe as Offensive MVP, Martin Borgen and Josefrancisco Patino as Co-Defensive MVPs, Gerardo Vazquez as the Heart of a Panther Award recipient, and Ryan Trenchard as Newcomer of the Year. Girls Soccer award recipients included Avery Weddle as Most Valuable Player, Brooke Forbus as Offensive MVP, Cailee Walston and Michelle Montes as Co-Defensive MVPs, Taylor Jackson as Fighting Heart Award recipient, Paris McGrew as Newcomer of the Year, and Ellie Michaels as All-Academic Award recipient.
Tennis honors included Arturo Cepeda and Fernando Cepeda as Co-MVPs for Boys Tennis, Ellie Michaels as Girls Tennis MVP, and Nate Wise as Most Improved Player.
The evening concluded with North Lamar’s highest athletic honors. Kelsey Jackson received the Overall Fighting Pantherette Award for exemplifying excellence in athletics, academics, leadership, and character across multiple sports. Adrian Nichols was presented with the Overall Fighting Panther Award for his outstanding contributions to Panther athletics and his commitment to representing North Lamar with pride.
