In Loving Memory of Larry Black

Larry Black, born December 27, 1969, passed away on August 6, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and a family who will carry his love and memory with them always.
Larry was a talented handyman with a natural gift for building, creating, and fixing things. There seemed to be very little he couldn’t figure out how to build or repair. If something needed to be made, fixed, or put together, Larry could usually find a way to get the job done. Working with his hands was a true gift, and his creativity and ability to make things work were a special part of who he was.
Larry also had a special love for animals, especially dogs. His compassion and affection for animals was something those who knew him will remember fondly.
Larry is survived by his siblings, Brenda Daniel and husband Ronald Daniel, Jerry Lee Black, Wayne Black and wife Cindy Black, Stanley Black, and Sharon Haidarasl; his son, Mitchell Black and wife Scottlyn Black; his grandchildren, Sarah Black, Olivia Black, Bellamy Black, and Levi Galyon; his stepchildren, Chris Layton and Tiffany Layton; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will forever cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his son, Brenton Black; his mother, Betty Black; his father, Bud Black; his brother, Jimmy Black; his brother-in-law, Masood Haidarasl; and his wife, Lisa Black.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Friday August 14, 2026in the McCrury Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Lee officiating. Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM till 7:00 PM Thursday August 13, 2026 at the Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Mitchell Black ,Ronald Daniel, Jay Dykes, Sammy Brumley, Rodney Black, and Jimmy Turk.
Larry’s life was made up of the people, animals, and things he cared about. Though he is no longer with those who loved him, the memories he created, the things he built, and the love he shared will remain in the hearts of his family and friends. His memory will live on through those who knew and loved him, and he will be deeply missed.
