Jeri Lynn (Kenslow) Lusk, age 83, passed away following a brief illness on May 1, 2026 at Paris Regional Health.
She was a supporter and giver to her family and all who knew her and she will be missed by many. We rejoice knowing she’s reunited with the love of her life, Ed Lusk, in her heavenly home.
Jeri was born November 12, 1942 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Leonard (Dyke) Kenslow and Thelma (Lowery) Kenslow. She attended Tulsa Public Schools and was an active student at Will Rogers High School, Class of 1960. In 1956, she won the National Roller Skating Dance Pairs Championship at age 13 with her skating partner Tom Wells. She later attended the University of Oklahoma and pledged in the Kappa Delta sorority. During college she met Ed Lusk and they attended several sorority functions together.
On January 25, 1962, she married the love of her life, Edward Lusk, and the couple shared 60 years together prior to his passing in 2022. Together they raised two children and she was thrilled to be a grandmother and recently a great grandmother (Grammy) to baby Darren Edward Pickle.
Jeri served as a Project Manager in the steel building construction industry while living in Houston, Texas with Midwest American Steel and Standard Industrial Structures (SIS CORP).
After retirement in 2004, she and Eddie moved to Paris, Texas and enjoyed family time and travel. A year after settling in Paris, her company asked her to come out of retirement and she set up a home office to continue serving as a PM until her final retirement in 2010.
What Jeri is most known for is her dedication to her family and friends. For years she planned the Lowery/Kenslow reunions with 40-60 relatives attending. She enjoyed getting together with family and friends and she loved to travel. Jeri was also a voracious reader, an excellent bridge player, cook, and dancer.
Jeri was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lusk, father, Dyke Kenslow and mother, Thelma (Lowery) Kenslow. She is survived by her children, Kelly (Edwin) Pickle, Dale (Carey) Lusk; grandchildren, Connor (Megan) Pickle, Cooper (Reilly) Pickle, Tyler Lusk, Remi, and great grandson, Darren Pickle. She is also survived by sisters, Janice (Travis) White and Jana (Bill) Lowery and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Burial will be on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 11:30AM at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Paris Public Library at 326 S. Main Street, Paris, Texas 75460 or to your favorite charity.
Dale, Kelly and family would like to thank Nancy Ashmore, Jane Tijerina, Paris Regional Health, and Chambers Hospice (Heather Griffin) for their care of Jeri and compassion for her family.
