On Apr. 16, Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of SE 34 in regards to a disturbance. The caller advised officers that a 16 year old family member had assaulted multiple family members by choking them and also made other threats. Officers took the suspect, who tried to flee the scene, into custody upon arrival. Victims had obvious injuries corroborating their story. Suspect was charged with two counts of Felony Assault and Evading Arrest, booked and transferred to a Juvenile Detention Center.
On Apr. 16, Officers were notified of a Robbery occurring in the 300 block of NE 25th. The juvenile victim was riding a bicycle in the area when he was approached by a group of subjects one of whom demanded his bicycle. When the victim refused, one of the subjects forcibly pushed him off of the bicycle and took it. Others of the group of suspects also rode the bike and did not return it to the victim. The incident is under investigation.
Officers made 27 traffic stops, 2 adult arrest, and answered 101 calls for service during this reporting period.
