On Mar. 12, Officers responded to the 1000 block of Fitzhugh St. in regards to a subject who was undressing in the middle of the road. Officers arrived and made contact with Brandon Omar Grant (39) who was found to be nude in the middle of the roadway. Grant responded to commands and was taken into custody. He was placed in a patrol unit. Officers believed Grant to be under the influence of some substance. Witnesses advised that children were outside and observed Grant during the incident. As officers attempted to gain more information from Grant, he forcibly attempted to leave the patrol vehicle and officers had to restrain him and bodily drag him back into the vehicle. He was charged with Indecent Exposure and Resisting Arrest or Transport. Grant was taken to the police department and later transported to county jail.
On Mar. 12, Officers were notified of a Burglary occurring in the 500 block of NE 14th. The complainants advised and officers observed that someone had entered a locked shed by prying the lock open. Once inside the suspects had stolen televisions, a baby swing, tools, and other home décor. Officers collected evidence at the scene and entered the items with serial numbers into the national stolen property database. The investigation is ongoing.
Officers made 22 traffic stops, 4 adult arrest, and answered 111 calls for service during this reporting period.
