The Lamar County Republican Women will welcome guest speaker HD-62 State Representative Shelley Luther at their monthly meeting on March 10.
“Small business owner and former school teacher Shelley Luther stood up against the government shutdowns and was thrown in jail by a liberal judge. Shelley is a true Christian conservative Republican who has the courage to stand up against the liberal agenda,” reads the Shelley Luther website.
Topics that will be discussed include:
- taxes
- property appraisals
- solar and wind farms
- funding roadway and bridges
- COVID 19 shutdown and how that brought her to her representative role
The event is being held at Home2Suites by Hilton, 3143 NE Loop 286 in Paris, starting at 6 p.m.
