In a letter to employees, Silgan Containers Manufacturing Corporation’s Paris facility formally announced that the plant will close on March 23, 2026.
The hand-delivered letter, dated January 22, 2026, provided employees with sixty (60) days’ notice.
“Under the terms of the 60-day advance notice requirements for the State of Texas Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN Act), we are hereby formally announcing the plant closure of the Silgan Containers Manufacturing Corporation Paris facility (located at 500 NW Loop 286, Paris, TX 75460),” the letter reads.
According to the company, the plant currently employs a total of forty-seven (47) workers, and some of those employees will be offered positions at other Silgan facilities.
At this time, Silgan has not made an official public announcement regarding the closure.
