Judith Mae Stamper, age 79, of Paris, Texas, passed away on November 17, 2025, at Paris Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her children and the family who loved her dearly.
Born on October 29, 1946, in Paris, Texas, she was the daughter of C.B. and Edith Coons. She grew up in Paris, where she graduated from Paris High School in 1964. She graduated from the University of North Texas in 1968, and earned her Masters Degree from East Texas in 1982.
On August 10, 1985, she married Ronald Stamper. Judith devoted 36 years of her life to teaching in Paris ISD and Plano ISD, touching countless lives with her patience, joy, and unwavering belief in every student who crossed her path.
Judith was known for her kindness, warmth, generous spirit, and her unmistakable sense of humor. She carried a gentle, uplifting energy everywhere she went. She especially loved attending and volunteering at CF Paris, spending time with her friends at Cozy Cappuccino, reading, working crossword puzzles, and tending to her ever-growing collection of plants. She had a rare gift for making people feel welcome and valued, and she never hesitated to lend a hand or offer encouragement.
She filled her days with motion and purpose—always on the go, always finding community, always giving of herself. Her ability to make friends wherever she went and her endless desire to help others will remain her lasting legacy.
She is survived by her children, T. M. Jackson of Paris, Tracey and her husband Jeremy Prunty of Paris; her grandchildren, Karley and her husband Tyler Cutbirth, Cerah and her husband Ryder Floyd, Kevin Jackson, and Sydnee and her husband Cory Compton; and her great-grandchildren, Rebecca Grace Ashmore, Indee Jean Compton, Elizabeth Kate Ashmore, Swade K. Compton, and Scottie Mae Floyd. She was preceded in death by her parents, C.B. and Edith Coons, and by her husband, Ronald Stamper.
A celebration of her life will be held on December 2, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Bright-Holland Funeral Home. The family welcomes all friends and loved ones to join them in a casual come-and-go gathering to share stories, memories, and the moments that made Judith so special.
“We will forever cherish her love, her laughter, and the beautiful presence she brought into all of our lives.”
