Paris ISD campuses once again joined hundreds of schools and youth organizations across the country in celebrating “Start With Hello” Week, a program created by Sandy Hook Promise to promote inclusion and connectedness among students.
Throughout the week, Crockett Intermediate, Aikin Elementary, Justiss Elementary, and T.G. Givens Early Childhood Center hosted a variety of activities designed to help students recognize the power of a simple “hello” and the importance of making everyone feel welcome.
Students learned strategies to prevent social isolation and loneliness through guidance lessons, assemblies, presentations, and campus-wide events. Each day, special activities encouraged students to reach out, include others, and build a stronger, more supportive school community.
“Start With Hello” empowers young people to create a culture of kindness and belonging—one hello at a time.
