On July 24, at 04:10hrs Officers stopped a vehicle in the 3200 block of N. Main St for a defective brake light. They met the driver, Donnie Chy-ann Teafatiller (32) of Paris, and a passenger, Chad Leonard Pokorski (51) also of Paris. The smell of marijuana caused officers to remove the two from the vehicle and conduct a search of the vehicle. During the search a plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine was located behind the driver’s seat. Marijuana residue was located in the driver’s seat. Both subjects denied knowledge of the narcotics. Both were arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and booked without incident.
On July 22, the department was notified of a Burglary of a residence in the 300 block of NE 32nd St. The complainants advised that a handgun and a wedding ring had been stolen from their residence on July 22, 2025 between 11:45 and 15:45. They advised that this is not the first time they have had such a theft. The victim’s advised that it was possible that they had left a door unlocked. Evidence was collected and the firearm was entered into the data base as stolen. The case is pending investigation.
