Early Thursday morning, Paris Police were dispatched to a gunshot victim at an emergency room in the 3000 block of northeast Loop 286.
At about 2:35 a.m., police responded to the 30-year-old gunshot victim, who allegedly was uncooperative with the officer. Officers on the scene reported the man told them he was unsure where he was when he was shot. The wound was non-life-threatening as it was on the man’s upper left arm.
Police reported a second gunshot victim at Paris Regional Medical Center at about 4:05 a.m., who reported someone was beating on his front door, demanding to be let in, in the 600 block of S.E. 6th Street at about 3 a.m. also early Thursday.
The 38-year-old gunshot victim told police he told the person to leave, then heard what sounded like a gunshot and felt something strike his abdomen.
“This victim reported that he then shot through the front door, and he heard the person on the porch scream,” said Paris Police Information’s Office Curtis Garrett.
The investigation continues.
