Over the weekend, McCurtain County Sheriff’s Office conducts what’s believed to be the largest meth and heroin bust in its district’s history.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies conducted an undercover operation leading to a drug dealer selling 114 grams of meth to an officer.
“During the transaction, the officer noticed much more than just the 114 grams as well as a large amount of heroin,” the McCurtain County Sheriff’s Office said. “The dealer was arrested shortly after and a search warrant was done on his car.”
According to the sheriff’s office, officers found the following items:
- 4.5 pounds of methamphetamine;
- Half a pound of black tar heroin; and
- About 5,000 dollars, which included the money the officers had paid him earlier that day.
The man arrested is currently being held in McCurtain County jail for Aggravated trafficking of methamphetamine as well as Aggravated trafficking of heroin.
