Knowing that not all families can afford wifi during these uncertain times, local internet company WiFires is going above and beyond to help the community.
Starting next week, WiFires will take their internet on the road with the WiFires FREE Hotspot Van which is a mobile hotspot.
“We know these are tough times for many families in Lamar County,” said CEO Mossie Kines. “We saw a need and wanted to help.”
In March, WiFires installed free hotspots throughout downtown Paris around the square and at the splash pad for families to log on to and use and now they wanted to take it a step further by going mobile.
Kines said each week they will move the van to a different area and will rely on the public to let them know where there is a need for the van.
Those wanting to utilize WiFires free internet will be able to access unlimited internet within 100ft from where the van is parked. There are no time restraints and the internet will be available 24/7.
Using your phone, tablet, or laptop, look for “WiFiresfreeSSID” and simply login (no password required).
