The United Way of Lamar County (UWLC) will hold the 2nd Annual Live United 5k Run/Walk on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at 8 a.m. on the Trail de Paris.
Pre-registration fee is $25, with a guaranteed t-shirt included, until May 4, 2019. Registration the day of the 5k, which begins at 7 a.m., is $35. Student fee is just $10.
Part of this year’s Live United 5k proceeds has been allocated to help fund snacks at the Boys and Girls Club afterschool program.
“Last year’s 5k was such a fun event with over 50 people participating. We will have medals for race winners, but we want as many people as possible to come out and participate whether they run or walk. This is a great opportunity to not only raise money for the United Way and our 24 partner agencies but to enjoy the beautiful Trail de Paris and get some outdoor exercise,” said UWLC Executive Director Jenny Wilson.
