Peter Cottontail is expected to be a busy bunny over the next few days as various organizations in the area will have their rendition of Easter celebrations.
A few events include:
- First Baptist Church of Paris’ Community-wide Easter Egg Hunt
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, First Baptist Church will have its annual Easter Egg Hunt at Love Civic Center’s sports complex. The even will house lunch, games, prizes and more.
- Paris Parks and Recreation sets annual Easter Egg Hunt
The annual City of Paris Parks and Recreation Easter Egg Hunt is set for 2 p.m. at Wade Park on Saturday, and the Easter Bunny will hop by for a visit with the kids.
Children from 0-12 will have a chance to vie for 8,000 plastic eggs filled with candy.
The city will have a staggered start as 0-3 year olds will start at 2 p.m., 4-6 year olds will start at 2:30 p.m., 7-9 year olds start at 3 p.m., and 10-12 will start their hunt at 3:30 p.m.
- Covenant Christian Church’s Easter Egg Hunt
Covenant Christian Church, prior to its Sunday service, will have free breakfast at 9 a.m. with an Easter egg hunt at 9:45 a.m. Services begin at 10:30 a.m., right after the egg hunt.
- Roxton United Methodist Church Community-Wide Easter Egg Hunt
On Saturday at 2 p.m., Roxton UMC will hold a community-wide Easter Egg Hunt in the Church’s park. Refreshments will be available.
- Project Deport’s Easter Egg Hunt
Project Deport’s Easter Egg Hunt is set for 10 a.m. on Saturday at Charles Foster Park in Deport. The egg hunt is open to those 12 years old and younger.
