2020 HALLOWEEN GUIDE: Family friendly events around Lamar County

We hope you have your costume ready because Halloween is finally here.

There are also some fun events going on in Lamar County that will surely put you in a ‘spooktacular’ mood.

These events are safe and family-friendly. Be sure to bring your sweet tooth.

 

Friday, Oct. 30

SPOOKTACULAR Fun Friday and Trunk or Treat – Texas Tumbling and Trampoline Institute

When: 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Where: 4820 Lamar Avenue in Paris

Come join the fun! 3TI is hosting a FREE, CONTACTLESS Trunk or Treat from 5-6:30 pm! Immediately following from 6:30-8:30 with the admission of $10, we will host a “Spooktacular” Fun Friday. It will include a costume contest, festival games, prizes, bounce house, trampoline, pit fun and lots of treats! Pizza may be purchased separately. Ages up to 14. All children under 4 require a parent to stay. *Mask required for this event except while on equipment.

 

Drive-Thru Trick or TreatCitySquare Paris

When: 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Where: CitySquare Paris, 2515 Bonham St Paris, TX 75460

Hosted by our Teen Center. All ages welcome! We fight the causes and effects of poverty through service, advocacy, and friendship.

 

3rd Annual Cave Wave Haunted Tunnel 

When: 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. both Friday and Saturday night

Where: Cave Wave

The first 50 through the car wash will receive a free car wash for your next visit. They will not be washing cars for this event. This event is free.

 

Saturday, Oct. 31

Reno’s Monster Mash & BBQ Cook-Off – Reno Parks and Trail Committee

When: 12 p.m.

Where: Reno City Hall

It has been a tough year. Are you ready for some FUN?! We are excited to announce this FREE family event! Please join us on Halloween for Reno’s Monster Mash & Barbecue Cook-Off! We will have games, contests, vendors, live music, Trunk or Treat contest, and more! Award-winning barbecue teams will be competing with delicious plates available for purchase. All proceeds from the cook-off will benefit the Reno Volunteer Fire Department. Special thanks to Topp Gunn Auto Auctions and Aden Ann’s Boutique for joining us and sponsoring the games for this event! If you are an interested BBQ team, a vendor, or would like to volunteer, please call Reno City Hall at 903 785 6581.

*This event will take place at our large, open park. Careful planning is going into this event for maintaining social distancing and safety for everyone.*

 

Drive-Thru Trick or Treat – Quality Care ER

When: 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Where: Quality Care ER, 2675 41st Street SE Paris, TX 75462

Join us for a special Drive-Thru Trick or Treat. Simply load up the kids in the car and drive up to get a special Halloween Treat from our Quality Care ER Team. No Need to get out of the Car we will bring the sweet treat right to your window.

 

Drive-thru Trick or Treat – Kid’s Clinic of Paris

When: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Where: Kid’s Clinic of Paris, 345 Stone Ave Paris, TX 75460

Let us see your costumes!! Come by the clinic to get some candy and a GLOW toy from the safety of your car!!!

 

Harvest Festival – Calvary Chapel of Paris

When: 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Where: Calvary Paris, 3100 Clarksville St Paris, TX 75460

Join us for a time of Fall Fun! We’ll have live music, games, bounce houses, and lots of candy! Pittin’ & Grillin’ Mobile Smokehouse will be here offering an awesome fair menu. Entrance is free – bring your family and friends!

 

Fall Festival – Bethel Temple Church

When: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Where: Bethel Temple Church, 1315 SE Loop 286 Paris, TX 75460

Come join us for fun, food, and fellowship! There will be a Disney Costume Contest for the kids, hayride, prizes, free food, face painting, local vendors set up, and more! We would love to have you all!

 

Deport Trunk-or-Treat

When: 7 p.m.

Where: Main Street

There will also be a costume contest at 7:30 p.m.

 

Trunk-or-Treat at Britney’s Steppin Out Dance Studio 

When: 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Where: 3354 NE Loop 286 in Paris

 

Lights For Darlene Halloween Show 

When: At dusk

Where: 5230 Williams Drive in Reno

Organizers will also hand out candy bags to kids.

 

Halloween Pictures

When: 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Where: The Branding Studios – 13 1st Street in downtown Paris

There will be candy, FREE 5×7 pictures and more.
