A teacher at Prairiland Jr. High School has tested positive for COVID-19, and students who may have been in close contact with the teacher will be contacted directly by the district.
Jeff Ballard, Prairiland ISD superintendent, said the school was cleaned overnight with the 360 Clorox machines.
“We worked with health dept. to help make decisions on exposure,” Ballard said. “The teacher had a mask on the entire time and stayed to herself so there is no exposure to kids so no kids were quarantined.”
Ballard asks parents to not panic, but to work with the school district.
“There will be (COVID) cases this year with kids and adults,” he said. “We just ask parents to help us out and keep kids home that are sick.”
