Paris police responded to a harassment call in the 3300 block of Lamar Ave at 7:14 a.m. on July 22. The investigation led officers to speak with the suspect in the 1600 block of NW Loop 286. Officers found 21-year-old Dakota James Walker of Paris, to have an outstanding Lamar County felony warrant charging him with theft of property of more than $2,500 but less than $30,000. Walker was arrested and later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
Paris police are investigating a theft of a small trailer with a 2000 Honda TRX 4-wheeler. It is believed both were stolen from a parking lot in the 2900 block of Clarksville St sometime between 10:30 p.m. on July 21 and 9:00 a.m. on July 22. The 4-wheeler is described as being tan in color with two LED lights on the front rack. The trailer is a 5’X12’ Home Depot brand trailer with plastic fenders. During the investigation of a traffic offense in the 200 block of SW 2nd St., at 10:50 p.m. on July 22, officers located 52-year-old Delbert Leroy Seelye, Jr., of Paris, in the back seat of the vehicle. Seelye was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Seelye was placed under arrest and charged with possession of a controlled substance. He was booked and later transferred to the Lamar County jail.
