Gene Conley Hobbs, Sr., 83, of Paris, passed away, Friday, March 1, 2019 in Paris Regional Medical Center. Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 5, 2019 under the Evergreen Open Air Chapel with Rev. Ron Byers officiating.
Mr. Hobbs was born on August 16, 1935 in Paris, the son of Jack Conley and Elizabeth Blackburn Hobbs. He served in the U.S. Army and was a retired dispatcher for the Paris Police Department.
On June 8, 1957, he married Robbie Nell Lollar in Durant, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on February 9, 2011. Mr. Hobbs was also preceded in death by his parents and a sister Diane Mary Hobbs.
Survivors include his son, Gene Conley Hobbs, Jr. and wife, Tonia M. Hobbs; grandchildren, Gene Conley Hobbs, III and wife, Crystal Hobbs, Jackie Sue Thorpe and Adrian Thomas Hobbs; 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
