Celebrating her centennial, Alice Marie Holley will be sitting and waving at others who drive by this evening wishing her a happy birthday during the come-and-go birthday drive by at Colonial Lodge Retirement Center, 4530 Lamar Ave.
Born 100 years ago, Holley has outlived her siblings, and according to her only daughter, Neva Dell Epps, is not “your typical 100-year-old.”
“She’s very active,” Epps said. “She’s really a unique person for her age.”
Holley has her daughter, Neva and her husband Charlie; two granddaughters, RaNell and husband Mark Isaacs, Marty and husband Trent Marty Ludtke; and two great-grandchildren, Alli and Averi.
Holley will be sitting out front of Colonial Lodge between 6 and 6:30 p.m. with her daughter. The family asks for people to drive by, wave and wish Holley a happy birthday.
“Happy Birthday mom,” Epps said.
