The City of Paris will undergo a review of its building and fire codes by a committee of design professionals, licensed tradesmen, contractors and developers, in an effort to ensure they are appropriately meeting the needs of the community with respect to health, safety and welfare standards, as well as feasibility.

The seven member committee will take public input on November 14th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers.

After all comments and recommendations have been heard, the committee will review the code for each concern, then make any recommendations to be considered and voted by the committee for final recommendation for adoption by the city council.

Anyone is welcome to bring their concerns before the committee on November 14th, or submit specific code concerns in writing to the City of Paris Community Development Department located in the City Annex at 150 1st St SE, or email permits@paristexas.gov prior to the meeting.
