Bogata Mayor Pro Tem Larry Hinsley is asking residents to follow a city-wide mandate for the use of masks, as well as limiting activities over the New Year break.
“Due to increased concerns about COVID in our community, it is necessary to take appropriate actions to lessen the possibility of spreading the disease,” said Hinsley.
The announcement, posted on Bogata Community News, stated the following:
1. We are asking our citizens and businesses to follow a city-wide mandate for the use of masks. Please use your masks anytime you are in contact with others outside of your immediate family.
2. City Hall will be closed to the public beginning Monday, 12/28/2020. Payment of water bills or other business can be conducted over the phone or by using the drop box located at City Hall.
3. Please limit your activities for New Year’s Eve gatherings. Your personal health and the health of others should be a priority.
“These restrictions will be on a week by week status but will remain in place until concerns ease. Pray for those who have lost loved ones and for those who are ill and at risk. Consider receiving the vaccine when it is available. Good choices will lead to good outcomes. Thank you for your cooperation during these grave times.”
