Two open casting calls are being held for a “Yellowstone” spinoff show, “1883: The Bass Reeves Story” which expands on the adventures of “1883” and will be filmed in North Texas.
“1883: The Bass Reeves Story” tells the story of Bass Reeves, the first black deputy U.S. Marshal west of the Mississippi River.
Taylor Sheridan, creator and producer of “Yellowstone,” will direct the new limited-series on Paramount+ and stars David Oyelowo as the titular real-life lawman.
“Legacy Casting is seeking Asian men and women to work as background actors in Stephenville, TX for the Paramount+ series Bass Reeves. You must attend a costume fitting and covid testing prior to filming,” said Legacy Casting on Instagram.
The talent company is currently casting Asian men and women as background actors for filming in Stephenville on May 1-3. These are paid positions.
They are also looking for identical twins to appear as “conjoined twins” for a carnival scene that is filming this month. This is a paid part, offering $200 per person and is open for any ethnicity and gender.
There is also another casting opportunity for Black men and women to play extras in a church scene. Production is set in Strawn for Apr. 25, 2023, and pays $150 per person.
