W.J. (Bill) Pritchett, Jr., passed peacefully from this life into the arms of his loving Savior on Sunday, July 16, 2023. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, July 31, 2023 at the pavilion at Evergreen Cemetery.
He was born September 10, 1946 in Longview, TX to W.J. Pritchett Sr. and Pauline Markhum Pritchett. He married lthe love of his life, Sherry Locke Pritchett in 1982 at Ramseur Baptist Church, Paris, Tx. Bill was of the Baptist Faith and loved singing Christian music. He was very active in the Antique world, which he enjoyed very much and made many wonderful friends. He graduated from Paris High School in 1964 and attended East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Tx. He worked for years with his Father in the Livestock Commissions and had great compassion for all animals. He served his country in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1969. He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law, Melvon E. Locke Sr., 2 sisters, and a nephew.
He is survived by his wife, mother-in-law, Anita Ruff Locke, brother-in-law, Melvon E. Locke Jr.,niece, 3 nephews, and numerous friends.
Donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Shriner’s Hospital for children, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or to the church of your choice.
