Police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Monday morning that both the shooter and victim described as an “accident,” after a gun discharged while being moved from one location to another.
Officers responded to Paris Regional Health around 1:47 a.m. regarding a shooting that occurred in the 600 block of 7th NW.
According to reports, both the shooter and victim reported the incident as an accident, stating the gun was “being moved from one location to another when it was discharged and struck the victim in the back.”
The victim was taken to PRMC by the shooter before being transported to the DFW Metroplex.
The incident is under investigation.
