C.A.S.T. for Kids, a fishing event for children with special needs being held on June 8 at Lake Bonham Park, is in need of volunteers.
“Help us provide a morning of fishing and celebration for children with special needs.”
Pre-registration is required and volunteers will be needed for approximately 6 hours. Additionally, the organization is in need of experienced volunteer boaters with a boat to host child and parent/guardian, co-captains to assist on large boats, and anyone with a heart to serve children and help with on-shore event facilitation duties.
Volunteer duties include:
- taking child and parent out on your boat
- assisting on boats
- event set-up/clean-up
- registration/attendance
- rod/reel/tackle prep
- fishing with children
- prep and serve lunch
