The United Way of Lamar County will host its first-ever Volunteer Expo on Friday, July 12, 2019, from 10am-noon at the PJC Ballroom.

This free event will allow attendees to visit with a wide variety of organizations to find out what volunteer opportunities exist in our community, ask questions of each agency, and find out how you can get involved

Jenny Wilson, UWLC Executive Director, explains “we get a lot of calls at the United Way office from people inquiring about how they can become a volunteer.  By attending this expo, you can find your perfect volunteer match.”

Participating organizations that will have booths set up in addition to the United Way include RSVP, the New Hope Center, Dylan’s Drivers, CASA for Kids, the Girl Scouts, the Lamar County Homelessness Coalition, LCHRC Meals on Wheels, Lamar County Literacy Council, Lamar County Chamber of Commerce, Paris Regional Medical Center, Paris Community Theatre, Habitat for Humanity, City Square Paris and the American Red Cross.
