Tyson recalls chicken nuggets for possible rubber contamination

Tyson Foods Inc. is recalling about 36,000 pounds of chicken nuggets that may be contaminated with pieces of rubber, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

The issues was discovered after people bought the chicken nuggets and reported there were rubber pieces in them. 

The USDA said there have not been any confirmed reports of injury or illness from people who have eaten the nuggets, but anyone concerned about possible health effects after eating them should contact a healthcare provider.

The 5lbs plastic packages are labeled Tyson White Meat Panko Chicken Nuggets and were produced Nov. 26, 2018 and have a “best if used by” date of “Nov. 26, 2019.

Anyone who has this item in their freezer should throw it away or return it to the place of purchase.
