Trésors de Paris-  Art, Wine & Craft Beer, a new shop of its kind is set to open in downtown Paris with a soft opening on June 15.

“Tresors de Paris” meaning treasures of Paris.  This boutique will offer you product to treasure, showcasing works that delight the eye and stimulate your curiosity.

Lucy Funk and Dave Wenzel are both excited to be opening their new store that is all about the unique and beautiful products that will be on offer.

“We will have consigned artists, craft and specialty beers, retail products and lots of handmade items that you don’t normally see in Paris,” Funk said.

An artisan boutique is how Funk best described the soon to be open business saying that she and Wenzel look forward to offering their unique products from local artists as well as artists from around the country.

“We really feel as though we are carving a niche here in Paris, and we are excited to share our products with everyone here in the area,” she added.

So far Funk said they have a handful of local artists, including a photographer that will have consigned work in their new shop. As well as some products from a glass blower who is in Loveland Co., and a Gold and Silver Smith who resides in Boston Mass.

“Everything is handmade, there will be no products that are off factory lines or mass produced,” she said, “we felt that there was a need to have a store like ours here in the community and the downtown location is perfect to showcase everything we will have.”

It’s taken a year for their dream to become a reality from when they first began renovations in their building. Funk said that Wenzel upcycled a lot of found treasures that they came across when they first began the process.

“One of the nicest things Dave did was reuse some wood from walls in the upstairs that is now displayed as a feature wall in the shop downstairs,” she explained.

And knowing there is still a lot of road construction set to happen along Lamar Ave., this dynamic duo has already thought of that, “we have two entrances, one in the front along Lamar Ave and one in the back that shoppers can enter from the parking lot,” Funk said.

Not only will this unique boutique showcase plenty of art for the home or office, but there is also the wine and craft beer for those who enjoy the unique tastes that can’t normally be found in just any liquor or beer store.

“We are excited to be able to showcase wine and beer that you just can’t normally find in any type of shop. We will have something to pair up with any dish or event you may be hosting,” Funk said.

Not only are they boasting a bevy of choices, Funk added she and Wenzel are always on the lookout for those wines or beers that people love but can’t normally find.

“If there is something you really love, we want to know! It’s all about sharing the experience and tastes that we come across in our travels,” she added.

There is no doubt that this unique boutique is set to become another great attraction to the downtown area of Paris as Funk and Wenzel say they hope their little shop will only add to the value of what can be found downtown.

“Expect to find a variety of beautiful works of art that fit any budget and appeal to all ages,” she said.
