The Paris Municipal Band is ready for their new Summer season!

The band started back up on rehearsals earlier this week and their first performance will be Friday at Bywaters Park at 300 S. Main St.

Future performances by the Paris Municipal Band are scheduled for June 14, 21, 28, and July 3 and 12, all of which will be had at Bywaters Park.

The band will begin all performances at 8:30 p.m.

Joe Watson, band director for the Paris Municipal Band, said the concert selections will vary from week to week. With this week’s show to feature “The March King” by John Philip Sousa, folk suite based on music by Bob Dylan and “a special tribute to the Avengers.”

Watson added that each concert will conclude with the band’s theme song “I love Paris” by Cole Porter.

In case of rain or storms, the concert this week will be moved to the North Lamar High School auditorium.

Concerts usually last about 1 hour and are completely free to the public.
