Every week at T.G. Givens, students, teachers, and families come together to wrap up their week with an exciting Wildcat Rally. These rallies are a cherished tradition, where family members are invited to join the students for lunch and celebrate the week’s activities. The atmosphere is filled with joy as students sing and dance alongside their families and classmates, creating a sense of community and camaraderie.
A highlight of each rally is the presentation of the “word of the week.” A selected class explains the word’s meaning and uses it in a sentence, showcasing their understanding and creativity. This engaging activity enhances vocabulary skills and fosters a collaborative spirit among the students.
Attendance is highly encouraged and celebrated in a special way. The class with the best attendance for the week earns the honor of hanging a banner outside its classroom. This week, both Ms. Brazil’s and Mrs. Ray’s classes achieved a perfect 100% attendance, and they will proudly display their banners as a testament to their commitment.
The Wildcat Rally also provides a platform for teachers to give shout-outs to students who have done something remarkable during the week. Whether it’s academic achievements, acts of kindness, or displaying exceptional effort, these shout-outs recognize and motivate students to continue striving for excellence.
In addition, the Principal takes a moment to celebrate staff and student birthdays, adding a personal touch to the event. These celebrations help build a strong, inclusive school community where everyone feels valued and appreciated.
The Wildcat Rally at T.G. Givens is more than just a weekly event; it’s a vibrant celebration of learning, achievement, and community spirit.
