Lane Johnson, 70, of Powderly, passed away Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, at his home.
A visitation is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 31st at Bright-Holland Funeral Home.
Lane, the son of Robert Lamastas Johnson & Violet Anderson Johnson, was born Aug. 4, 1954, in Amarillo, Texas.
He graduated from Caprock High School in Amarillo. Following graduation he joined the United States Army. After his honorable discharge from the military, he became a painter by trade. Lane also worked for the railroad and Boeing.
He was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed family outings, vacations, and hockey.
His parents, a grandson, Tyler Juhlin, and other family members preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Gentle, children, Marie Chapman (Benny), Shauna Johnson-Janow, and Toshia Rodríguez, grandson, Trenton Juhlin, and several nieces & nephews along with a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Texas Parks & Wildlife.
