The Paris Accident Reconstruction Team are investigating a single-vehicle wreck which resulted in one fatality and two other occupants being transported to Paris Regional Health.
On Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 12:22 p.m., Paris EMS, fire and police responded to a major wreck in the 1800 block of Jefferson Road involving a 2004 Pontiac.
According to reports, the vehicle was traveling northwest no Jefferson when it veered off the roadway and struck a utility pole before coming to a stop.
The vehicle caught fire during the crash and was fully engulfed in flames when officers arrived.
The driver and front passenger escaped the vehicle and were transported by EMS to Paris Regional Health.
A third occupant, in the read seat, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The incident is under investigation.
