Sparky the Fire Dog and his friends from Paris Fire Department were invited to a special birthday party over the weekend, and young Tinsley McCann was overjoyed at the special surprise.
“Tinsley is into Paw Patrol and Sparky looks a lot like Marshall,” Tinsley’s mom Tonya said, “So I called the department and asked them if it was possible to bring Sparky to the party.”
McCann said when the fire truck pulled up at the party, the look of excitement on not only Tinsley’s face but all the kid’s faces was a sight to see.
“We always enjoy getting to bring Sparky out to greet the kids and teach them about fire safety. But this was different because it was for Tinsley’s birthday party,” Driver Engineer Dustin Huff said.
The boys of B-Shift, Station 4, said they were happy to help Sparky surprise Tinsley on her birthday with the special visit.
“I think her wish was to see Sparky, and for him to come to her birthday party with her and her friends; to see her face when he walked in the door was priceless!” Huff added.
“Usually I am very busy preparing for fire safety demonstrations,” Sparky told myparistexas.com, “but my buddies at station 4 said this would be a good time for me to have a break and make a surprise visit to wish Tinsley a Happy Birthday.”
Sparky said although he really enjoyed the break and special appearance, it was back to work as he has plenty of preparing for upcoming events in and around Paris later this year.
