Samuel Rodgers Cunningham or as many of you may know him: Sam Bam Cunningham, passed away at home on Monday, June 18, 2018, at 10:22 pm.

Sam Cunningham was born at home in Paris, TX. Sam started performing magic tricks at the age of five. He and his father, Felix Cunningham owned local convenient stores called Sammy’s Jim Dandy, where many will remember their tasty barbeque. In the 1970’s Sam worked for Woolworth’s and while opening a store in Corsicana, TX, he met and married the love of his life, Toni Cunningham. Sammy assisted in opening the J.F.K. museum in downtown Dallas, TX, where you can see his taped interview on display. He was most known for performing magic shows at the schools in the 70’s and 80’s. He also owned Sammy’s Place, a local downtown toy store, in the late 70’s. Over the past three decades, he sold promotional products.

Surviving is his daughter Samantha Ribble and her husband Brian Ribble; his granddaughter Brooklyn Maier and her husband Jeremy Maier; his grandson Colton Turner and his finance` Samantha Kane and their 5-month-old daughter, Morgan Turner. Also, surviving are his brother and best friend, Jim Cunningham; his step-sister Carol Dollins; his step-brother Rick Campbell and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
